Meet Nita - our sweet little girl who likes to be part of everything!
Nita is a sweet, affectionate girl who likes to know what's going on around her—and she definitely doesn't want to miss out on the action. She enjoys being right in the middle of whatever is happening, but she also likes staying close to me and keeping tabs on what I'm doing.
She's one of the puppies who will let me know when she thinks she's missing something. If the other puppies are doing something and Nita isn't part of it, she may be the first to whine, cry, or give me a little puppy pout. She definitely likes being included!
Nita also loves being held. When I pick her up, she settles down quickly and is quite content to spend that one-on-one time with me. She's a little kisser, too, and isn't shy about handing out puppy kisses while she's being loved on.
She's had opportunities to explore the puppy pool and has gotten into the water a few times, although she hasn't decided it's one of her favorite activities yet. I allow my puppies to explore new experiences at their own pace while continuing to give them opportunities to build confidence and try new things.
Nita was born July 8, 2026, and has been raised in our home at Purple Pups GSD as part of our structured puppy development program. From an early age, she has received lots of hands-on attention along with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), age-appropriate socialization, and exposure to new people, places, sights, sounds, surfaces, environments, and everyday experiences.
Her early training is also underway. Nita is working on the foundations of potty training, crate training, sitting for things she wants, appropriate mouth behavior, and everyday manners.
At seven weeks, Nita completed temperament testing. I combine those results with everything I've observed while raising her to help determine what type of home and family may be the best match for her individual personality.
Nita's parents have been health tested. Her dam has completed DNA testing through Embark and hip evaluation through PennHIP. Her sire, Quest von Nummer-Eins, has OFA Good hips and normal elbows and comes from accomplished German show and working lines.
Nita has received age-appropriate veterinary care, including a veterinary examination and her first vaccinations. She is AKC registrable and goes home with her health and vaccination records, our genetic health guarantee, puppy information, and continued breeder support.
Our relationship with our puppy families doesn't end on pickup day. I'm available to help with questions about training, settling in, development, and life with your new German Shepherd as Nita grows.
At eight weeks old, Nita is showing me a very people-connected and affectionate side of herself. She likes being involved, enjoys staying close, settles happily into my arms, and makes sure I know when she thinks she's being left out of something. I think she could be a wonderful match for someone who wants a German Shepherd that enjoys being an active part of the family rather than watching life from the sidelines.
