This is Opie he’s a big sweet fellow. He’s been adopted out a few times but has had issues with male dogs in his past homes, along with sever weight loss when stressed. Opie has been scheduled to be fixed multiple occasions but has not yet met his weight goal. He’s gets very attached to people and needs someone to be with him all the time. He loves to cuddle and play. He’s great with female dogs, due to previous homes I will not rehome him to anyone with male dogs unless they’re fixed, lazy, and calm. Opie is perfectly fine with my male dogs but it seems to be a common issue with the small mean male dogs.
Opie is a barker if left alone, he will bark if crated, he will bark if he’s not in the same room as people. Since he struggles with weight he needs to be free fed where he can eat on his own time, we also recommend canned food twice daily or home cooked meals to help increase his weight gain! Opie did have an injury to his back leg(acl), this injury has not hurt him and has straightened out over time. He does great with kids 5+, loves all people. Opie has been around cats in one of his homes and did great with them. He has had basic obedience training, knows how to walk on leash

Opies rehoming fee is $100 to insure serious adopters. Once he’s up to weight he must be neutered, there is also a return contract if you cannot keep him at any point in his life. I hope he can find his forever home!
