Windyhill Loyal Lovable Lucy dam and Red Truck’s Wait A Minute Chester sire
Located in Greene New York with a homing date of August 8. Our AKC Brittany puppies make great hunters and home companions. They are raised in our home with lots of socialization. Lucy’s 5 generation: 18 Field Champion, 1 District Champion, 10 Champion. Lucy is up on her shots; heartworm meds and Lucy has had the Lyme’s vaccine is heartworm free and OFA Excellent. Both parents are AKC registered. The sire is Red Truck’s Wait A Minute Chester. His 4 Generation contains: 4 Grand Champion Gold, 2 Grand Champion, 3 Dual Champion, 11 Champion, 1 Beginner Novice, 1 Rally Novice, 10 Junior Hunter, 1 Master Hunter, 1 Senior Hunter and OFA good certified. Puppy tails are docked by our vet and dew claws left on. They will be vet inspected for health and shots; a copy will be given to you. You will be given their vaccination record, worming record, AKC litter registration and AKC registration application.
They will have been working on "come" “leave”,” out” “in” and their name (if given). We discourage biting people. Ignoring loud noise starts at 4 weeks and is increased to a 22 blank as they age. I start working them on wing and reinforce the pointing and prey instinct. Should you be a hunter, your ground work is started. Past litters have had pups in the field as early as 6 months pointing, tracking and retrieving grouse and woodcock. I use my Brittany’s for both upland and waterfowl.
Our dogs are both house pets and hunters. We do not use an outside kennel to house the dogs. I am available to answer any and all questions you might have. We take pride in the puppies we have raised and the joy they have brought to their owners. We encourage you to come and play with your puppy. Final transfer will be in person. We like to meet the people receiving one of our puppies as well as you would like to meet the breeders. Ken

About

What kind of dog is a Brittany?
The Brittany is one of those dogs that never seems to run out of energy. They are excellent family dogs as long as you give them plenty of exercise. They are smart, loving, and relatively easy to train. So long as they get their exercise, the Brittany makes an excellent companion. Full-grown, they typically weigh 30-40 pounds and stand 17-21 inches tall.
Do Brittanys get along with kids?
Brittanys are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. If you aren't willing to give your dog plenty of daily exercise, neither you nor your Brittany will be happy. They need a family that will take them out to hunt, play fetch, or do anything that involves plenty of running and playing. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Are Brittanys high-energy dogs?
You won’t believe how much energy a Brittany has. You need to be committed to taking your dog out for vigorous daily exercise if you want a Brittany. If you put in the energy to keep your Brittany happy, you and your family will be rewarded with a brilliant, loyal companion. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
Is a Brittany a good choice for someone with allergies?
The Brittany has a relatively low-maintenance coat. They require weekly brushing, but that’s about it. Of course, if your Brittany decides a mud pit is the best place to play, you’ll need to give it a bath, otherwise it’s just basic maintenance with only moderate shedding. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
What should first-time owners know about Brittanys?
Brittanys are best suited for a home with a yard, though they can adapt to apartment life with enough exercise. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
