This is Shasta.  She's a Pomapoo-Yorkshire Terrier!   Pomayork? Porkiepom? Yorkiepoopom? Regardless, she's adorable no matter what.   Shasta's mom is a beautiful, long-haired, reddish-orange, hyper Pomapoo, and her dad is a tiny, black and tan, lovable Yorkshire Terrier.  Together, they have blessed us with three beautifully delightful puppies.   Shasta is a female Yorkie/Pomapoo puppy with the kind of coloring that makes you look twice--and then stare in admiration. At first glance, she appears to be a sleek black puffball; but step into the light, and her coat reveals its true color: a rich, dark chocolate hue, almost brindle-like, with a solid black head that gives way to warm, cocoa-colored waves of curly fluff. She’s an absolute standout, and her one-of-a-kind coat only adds to her quiet charm.  Shasta isn't the first to leap into the action--she prefers to watch her siblings first, assess the situation, and only join in once she feels comfortable. But once she gives herself the green light? Her silly, playful side shines through, and she’s just as joyful and energetic as the rest of them.  If they're running around playing, then she's okay with doing the same.  She may not be the loudest of her siblings, but she's every bit the classic Pomapoo, albeit softer in her approach. With her rare coloring, curly teddy-bear fluff, and thoughtful nature, Shasta is the kind of puppy that surprised us-a little reserved at first, then suddenly bursting with warmth and personality once she feels at home. She’s not just another adorable face (though she definitely has one) -- she’s a loyal, clever, and gentle companion in the making. Shasta's mom is Etta.  As said above, she's a Pomapoo (half Pomeranian, half Toy Poodle) and is reddish-orange in color.  Her fur is super long, slightly wavy, and looks/feels more like hair than fur.  She's so so so so so full of hyper energy that matches her athleticism. Etta weighs about 6 pounds. Shasta's dad is Marc Antony (Ant).  He's a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier.  Ant is also TINY-he weighs 4 pounds-with black and tan fur so long we have to keep it trimmed just so he won't trip on it.  Ant loves cuddling and attention and we're more than happy to indulge him!  Shasta turned 8 weeks old May 10th.  She's old enough to leave for a new home anytime! Shasta will go to her new home with a 1-year health contract, vet examination with health certificate, current vaccinations and deworming, small bag of puppy food, handmade puppy bed and blanket, and lifetime support. Frequently Asked Questions
About Pomapoo Puppies
Is a Pomapoo the right dog for me?
As a cross between peppy Poodles and bright Pomeranians, Pomapoos are a smart, friendly breed that craves being around people 24/7. The specifics of their personality and looks will vary because of their mixed background, but you can count on these little pups to be cuddly companions no matter what. Full-grown, they typically weigh 5-15 pounds and stand 8-10 inches tall.
Will a Pomapoo get along with my other pets?
Pomapoos are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Pomapoos get along very well with kids, but young children should be supervised around them to make sure the dogs are treated with respect. This breed is friendly with strangers and will happily live with other dogs and cats. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Are Pomapoos high-energy dogs?
The Pomapoo needs an average amount of exercise each day to stay fit and happy. They are content either playing indoors or taking some time for a walk or playtime outside. They’re also smart and catch on quickly, so they can learn the ropes of training or new activities with ease. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with Pomapoo shedding?
The Pomapoo’s coat can be straight, curly, or anywhere in between and can also vary from short to medium length. These pups come in a variety of colors, including black, white, and brown, which is most common. Like the Poodle, they don’t shed much and should only need to be brushed regularly to maintain their mane. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance.
What kind of home is best for a Pomapoo?
Pomapoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Because they’re so small, Pomapoos are perfectly happy with apartment life, but regardless of the setting, they need to live indoors and be around people. They are fairly easy to train.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Yorkipoo Puppies
What's it like owning a Yorkipoo?
Yorkipoos blend the Yorkshire Terrier’s spunkiness with the Poodle’s loving nature into one cute little companion. These dogs enjoy being part of the family and won’t leave your side unless they have to. They’ll make sure you feel safe and loved as long as you provide the same in return. Full-grown, they typically weigh 4-15 pounds and stand 7-8 inches tall.
Do Yorkipoos do well in a busy household?
Yorkipoos are generally excellent with children of all ages. Yorkipoos love kids, strangers, dogs, and other pets, but they should be supervised around young children and bigger dogs to make sure they’re treated respectfully. They should always be kept as indoor dogs so they can get enough attention and companionship. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
How much exercise does a Yorkipoo need?
The Yorkipoo is a pretty low-key dog that doesn’t need much exercise to stay fit and happy. They like playing inside, going on walks, and running around out in the yard. Yorkipoos may be small, but they can keep up if you want to go for a longer jog or hike. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
How much grooming does a Yorkipoo need?
Yorkipoos can have a long, straight, silky coat like the Yorkshire Terrier; a fine, frizzy, wooly coat like the Poodle; or anything in between. They come in a wide variety of colors, such as brown, silver, grey, and white. Many are two-toned like Yorkshire Terriers, with a cream or chestnut body, legs, and mask, as well as grey or silver on the collar, top of the head, and ears. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
What should first-time owners know about Yorkipoos?
Yorkipoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Yorkipoos are the perfect size for apartment living. They should always be kept as indoor dogs so they can get enough attention and companionship. They are fairly easy to train.
