Loving Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home
This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make, but we know it’s the right one for Stihl and Chipper.
Stihl is an 8-year-old black Pyredoodle, and Chipper is a 7-year-old Standard Poodle. (Unaltered) They have been cherished members of our family for years and have brought us endless joy.
As our family has grown, we now have an almost 2-year-old son and are running two businesses. Our schedules have become so demanding that we can no longer give them the time, attention, and companionship they truly deserve. We find ourselves relying on others to let them outside, feed them, and spend time with them while we’re working, and that’s simply not the life we want for them. This decision comes entirely from love and wanting what is best for them.
About Stihl & Chipper
* Bonded pair — they must be adopted together
* Wonderful with children, including toddlers
* House-trained
* Crate trained
* Trained on a wireless/invisible fence
* Well-mannered in the home
* Friendly, affectionate, and loving
* Know basic commands
* Enjoy walks, playing outside, and spending time with their family
* Ride well in the car
* Comfortable with grooming, baths, and nail trims
* Loyal companions who simply love being with their people
They have never shown aggression toward children and have been exceptional family dogs. They enjoy spending time outdoors but are just as happy relaxing inside with their family.
Stihl and Chipper have been together for years and are deeply bonded. Because of that, they will only be placed in a home where they can remain together.
We are looking for a family who has the time to enjoy them and include them in everyday life. They deserve a home where they’ll receive the love, attention, and companionship they’ve always given to us.
Finding the perfect home is far more important to us than finding the quickest one. If you believe you may be the right fit for these two amazing dogs, we’d love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.

About
Poodle - Standard
Puppies
Are Standard Poodles a good breed to own?
France has been officially recognized as the Poodle’s country of origin, but the Poodle’s earlier ancestors came from central Asia. The German variety has probably influenced the modern breed most (‘Poodle’ is German for ‘splash’ or ‘puddle’). In 18th and 19th century Europe, the Poodle served a wide variety of purposes, including duck hunting, guiding, and later circus performing, from whence the modern grooming style likely arose. The Poodle became a popular pet for the French aristocracy, and in time was officially adopted as the national dog. Poodles were imported to America in the 20th century. They slowly rose in popularity and eventually became the country’s most popular dog. Famous Poodles include author John Steinbeck’s dog Charley, subject of the book ‘Travels with Charley: In Search of America’, and Weird Al’s Poodle Bela, who…uhm… sat on his head for the album cover of ‘Poodle Hat.’ Full-grown, they typically weigh 12-55 pounds and stand 10-15 inches tall.
Are Standard Poodles a good choice for families with kids?
Standard Poodles are generally excellent with children of all ages. The Standard Poodle gets along well with other animals, other dogs, and children. Standard Poodles are highly adaptable and make good watchdogs. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
What kind of exercise do Standard Poodles need?
The Standard Poodle requires substantial amounts of exercise. Standard Poodles require long walks and outdoor activities such as swimming or playing catch. The Standard Poodle is fond of retrieving, as it has origins as a hunting dog. Overall, their exercise needs are high.
Are Standard Poodles high-maintenance when it comes to grooming?
The Standard Poodle has a distinctive fine, frizzy, wooly coat similar in texture to sheep’s wool. Solid white is most common, but the coat may also be solid grey, brown, apricot, or black. There are three distinct grooming styles for show Poodles: puppy clip, continental clip, and English saddle clip. Grooming-wise, this breed is high-maintenance. Standard Poodles are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Are Standard Poodles easy to train?
Standard Poodles are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.
Frequently Asked Questions
About
Pyredoodle
Puppies
What kind of dog is a Pyredoodle?
The Pyredoodle is a hybrid dog breed that is a cross between a Great Pyrenees and a Poodle. As with all designer dog breeds, the Pyredoodle's characteristics can vary widely depending on the traits inherited from its parent breeds. Full-grown, they typically weigh 45-160 pounds and stand 22-32 inches tall.
Are Pyredoodles friendly with strangers and kids?
Pyredoodles are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. Pyredoodles are adaptable to a variety of living situations, including apartments and larger homes. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
How active are Pyredoodles on a daily basis?
Pyredoodles require regular exercise and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. They may inherit a tendency to wander, so it's important to keep them in a securely fenced area or on a leash when outside. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
How much brushing and bathing does a Pyredoodle need?
The Pyredoodle's coat is typically thick, curly, and can come in a variety of colors, including white, cream, and apricot. The texture of the coat can vary, depending on whether the dog has inherited more of the Poodle's curly coat or the Great Pyrenees' straighter coat. Pyredoodles are considered to be a low-shedding and hypoallergenic breed, thanks to the Poodle's non-shedding coat. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate. Pyredoodles are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Where do Pyredoodles do best — city or country?
Pyredoodles are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Pyredoodles are adaptable to a variety of living situations, including apartments and larger homes. However, they do require space to move around and play, so a yard or access to regular outdoor exercise is important. They are fairly easy to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
