Meet Toby! Toby is a beautiful chocolate and tan Miniature Dachshund boy who is going to be longhaired. He is such a sweet, loving little guy with a really great personality, and he is ready to go to his new home now.
Toby has been raised around people and has been well socialized with kids of all ages. He absolutely loves children and especially loves my 1-year-old daughter. He is very sweet with her and loves all the attention she gives him. Of course, all interactions with young children are supervised.
Toby will leave with his first round of vaccines and will be dewormed regularly.
His mom and dad are both AKC registered Miniature Longhair Dachshunds. Mom weighs around 11 pounds and Dad is around 8 pounds. Mom is a little on the chubby side right now 😂, but both are great dogs and have wonderful personalities.
If you haven’t owned a Dachshund before, I do ask that you please take some time to research the breed before making a decision. They are wonderful, loyal and affectionate little dogs, but they also have BIG personalities for such a small breed. They are intelligent, playful and very attached to their people, but they can also be stubborn and independent. Because of their long backs, they need owners who understand the importance of limiting jumping and being careful with stairs and furniture. Longhaired Dachshunds will also need regular brushing and coat care.
I want Toby to go to a family who understands the breed and is prepared to give him the time, attention and love he deserves.
