Arthur is a sweet, snuggly boy who loves to be with his people. He is kennel trained for time when you are away and for sleeping at night, he knows "touch" (come), is working on "sit" and leash training.
A little about us: My husband and I live in Northwest Iowa. My husband is an elementary principal and my daughter and I are both early elementary school teachers. Our family currently has three schnauzers. Lily, age 9 (black and silver), is retired from motherhood, but now gets to be grandma to the pups, Henry, who just turned 7, is their uncle. He was born with cerebral palsy due to a tangled birth experience resulting in an extended period without oxygen. He is a favorite of all and we can’t imagine life without him, although keeping him was completely unplanned. And Hazel Mae is our littlest lady, just 12 weeks old. Our daughter's dog, Rose, is 4 years old and mama to the puppies. They are currently living with us so it's a busy household. Our dogs are first and foremost our beloved pets so we would probably be considered "hobby" breeders in some sense, as we only breed our dogs once a year and only for a few years, retiring them earlier than many. On the flip side, our dogs are from champion bloodlines out of the Suelen kennel, which has an outstanding reputation built over 45+ years of breeding mini schnauzers with meticulous attention to health, temperament, and conformation; and we are very serious about the quality and care of our pups. We raise our pups in our home as family pets. They are born in a small pool in our bedroom and sleep there till they can bail out of the pool at which point they move to a large plastic swimming pool in the middle of our family room. :) Once they outgrow the bigger swimming pool they move to our kitchen/dining room. In short, our puppies are raised in the midst of our daily busy families' life. We are committed to giving them lots of attention and care, and are attentive to their socialization, introducing them to people of all ages, other animals, car rides, and a wide variety of noises from thunderstorms to hair dryers. Our desire is to raise them to be well adjusted puppies that will transition smoothly to new families that will love them and be blessed by them. We are happy to answer questions and provide an application for "adoption" for any interested families.
Our puppies come with: *AKC registration papers for Limited Registration (Full Registration may be considered) *Health records *Five-generation pedigree *Goodie bag of “extras” (incl. puppy collar, toys, information on puppy rearing & more). REFERENCES WILLINGLY PROVIDED. VISITS (in person or Facetime) ENCOURAGED! They are available for pick up at our home, we will meet up to 2 hours away, or we are willing to deliver further for an additional fee.
