Hello!
The puppies will be 8 weeks old September 14th and ready for their new homes.
I’m accepting a $250 deposit to reserve a puppy.
They are expected to be around 35–40 pounds full grown, with apricot coloring.
Housebreaking
The puppies have been using the doggy door to potty outside since they were about 4–5 weeks old and are doing amazingly well with housebreaking.
We haven’t had a poop accident inside since they were about 5 weeks old! Once in a while, a puppy will choose to use the puppy pad near the doggy door, but most of the time they make the trek all the way outside to potty.
Mom – Dorothy
Dorothy is a 55 pound Goldendoodle (75% Poodle / 25% Golden Retriever).
She is sweet, affectionate, confident, and has a wonderful personality. Dorothy also has a really nice, soft energy about her. She’s easy to please and doesn’t need hours of activity to be happy. She seems to have more of that easygoing Golden Retriever energy, she loves getting out and having fun, but she’s just as content hanging out at home and being a couch potato.
She absolutely loves water and will happily lay down in our baby pool just to relax. She also loves swimming in pools and at the lake, especially if there’s a game of fetch involved!
Dad – Remi
Remi is a 25 pound Chidoodle (84% Poodle / 16% Chihuahua).
He is a fun-loving, brave little guy and incredibly sweet. Remi thinks every person and dog he meets is his new best friend. When you meet him, you’ll probably think he’s begging you to take him home, and honestly, he would happily jump in your car and leave with the new best friends he met five minutes ago! 😂
The Puppies
The puppies are approximately:
79% Poodle
12.5% Golden Retriever
8% Chihuahua
You could call them Goldenchidoodles, I think, lol!
Raised in Our Home
The puppies are being raised right in my home in a happy, relaxed environment. They are socialized with my five adult doodles and are learning something I think is incredibly important: how to understand and communicate with other dogs.
Puppies raised mainly with their littermates and permissive parents don’t always get as many opportunities to learn these manners. Our three non-parent adult dogs have been wonderful teachers.
They gently but consistently teach the puppies how to approach another dog, ask to play, and respect the answer. They’re learning not to nip at the legs or ears of a dog simply walking by or resting. They learn to ask, read the other dog’s body language, and if the answer is “not right now,” they understand and move on, basically, “Okay, I’ll ask again later!”
I think this is such an important lesson. As they get older, they’ll meet unfamiliar dogs who may not be nearly as patient with an overly excited puppy. Learning now what “no thanks” looks like in another dog’s posture and body language helps prepare them for safer, more positive interactions later.
Our adult dogs correct them gently when needed, without frightening them, so the puppies can learn boundaries while still feeling safe and confident around other dogs.
Gentle Handling & Lots of Freedom
The puppies have been raised with gentle handling and lots of trust. They have never been harshly scolded, chased, or roughly handled by people or by our adult dogs.
They are happy, confident, well socialized little puppies who free roam between our family room and backyard using the doggy door. They have not spent these important early weeks being raised in cages or crates. Instead, they’ve had lots of opportunities to explore, play, interact with people and dogs, and learn about everyday life in a home.
My goal has been to give them a happy, secure beginning and prepare them as much as possible for their next big adventure, life with their new loving families. ❤️
