My name is Dusty and glad to meet you 🧡🐾 I’m 20 weeks old today 🧡🐾 I’m a black and white parti color little boy with an amazing thick coat 🧡🐾 The Classic ShihTzu color 🧡🐾 I’m currently 7 lbs and I’m charting to be in the 10-12 lb range. The perfect size for a wonderful family pet 🧡🐾 I had been chosen but my birth mom thought that the nice man who wanted me worked too many hours and away from home too much and he perhaps needed an older dog . She always looks out for our best interest before she lets us leave here 🧡🐾 I’m a 4 th generation puppy born here and my great great grandmother and my grandmother still live here along with my mother of course . My great grandmother lives with a good friend and has one of my little sisters . 🧡🐾 I’ve had all of my puppy vaccines and a complete well visit with the vet and my complete medical chart is in my folder 🧡🐾 I’m a very outgoing little chap and I absolutely love to snuggle in my birth mom’s lap and would love to cuddle in yours. 🧡🐾 My birth mom also says I was the first to do everything over my brothers and sisters. Guess that makes me Head of my Class's 🧡🐾 I love playing on our slide and climbing on our large waffle blocks . Hiding toys in our tent is a favorite thing to do🧡🐾 I’m litter box trained and now I’ve had all of my vaccines I’m safe to go outside to learn that part of my housebreaking 🧡🐾 A secure yard is a must 🧡🐾 My mom and dad are AKC registered but I’m being placed only as a pet and with a neuter contract so no papers will be provided.🧡🐾 I’ll come to you with my very own little toy box filled a baby blanket and some of my favorite things 🧡🐾 Attached with my pics are my mom and dad🧡🐾 Thanks for looking 🧡🐾

Frequently Asked Questions
About Shih Tzu Puppies

Is a Shih Tzu the right dog for me?
The Shih Tzu is small, popular, and friendly, so what more could you ask for in a companion dog? Their intelligence and loyalty, along with their independence, will have you cuddling up with this bunch of cheerfulness in no time. Full-grown, they typically weigh 9-16 pounds and stand 9-11 inches tall.
Do Shih Tzus do well in a busy household?
Shih Tzus are generally excellent with children of all ages. Shih Tzus are indoor dogs who get along with other pets very well and love to cuddle in your lap, making them great family companions. You would never want to limit these small dogs to just the outdoors. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Are Shih Tzus couch potatoes or do they need a lot of exercise?
Shih Tzu need short, daily walk but should also occasionally be exercised indoors. They do not adapt to hot weather very well, so they must be a primarily indoor dog. Care must be taken not to over or under exercise them as well. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
Is a Shih Tzu a good choice for someone with allergies?
Shih Tzus' long coat is somewhat high maintenance and requires everyday brushing to prevent tangles. These dogs should be taken to a professional groomer every couple of months. They are usually easier to maintain when their coats are clipped short, but you can't argue that those who have the long, dreamy coats are dramatic and eye catching. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance. Shih Tzus are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
What should first-time owners know about Shih Tzus?
Shih Tzus are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Since they are small, this breed can adapt to apartment living or a big house. Shih Tzus are indoor dogs who get along with other pets very well and love to cuddle in your lap, making them great family companions. They are fairly easy to train.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.

Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
