Meet Firefly! Firefly is the calmest puppy of the bunch, happy to curl up on your chest and nap while you cuddle her. She takes after her mom in a lot of ways — mom’s happiest just being petted and cuddled, and Firefly shares that same sweet, more timid nature. That said, she’s not all cuddles — she loves playing and running around with her siblings, too. Her brothers do like to gang up on her, but she takes it all in stride, with grace. She would make an amazing addition to any family! Firefly is currently 5 weeks old and weighs 5lb 0.5oz, making her the smallest of the litter right now. Her estimated adult size is 46–57 lbs, and while she may still outgrow “miniature” status, her growth seems to have slowed a bit — so she’ll likely land on the lower end of that range, maintaining the “miniature” status. Health Testing: Mom is AKC and ASDR registered; Dad is not registered. Mom and dad are both 45lbs with dad being slightly taller, longer and leaner than mom. Both parents have been health tested, with results available upon request. The only notable finding was that Mom is a carrier for MDR1 (multidrug resistance protein 1), while Dad tested negative. Because Dad is clear, this does not put the puppies at risk — there’s simply a 50/50 chance each puppy could inherit carrier status. This only becomes a concern if a carrier is bred with another carrier or an affected dog. Carriers themselves have, at most, a mild sensitivity to certain medications, and by informing your vet, those medications can easily be avoided as a precaution. The Litter: We have 4 puppies total — 2 girls (both red tri), Junebug and Firefly, and 2 boys (1 red merle, 1 red tri) Boomer and Meatloaf. All tails have been docked and dewclaws removed. The full litter will see the vet for first shots and a health check on July 13, just before going home. Going Home: Each puppy will go home with some food, a toy, a blanket (with sibling/mom scent), shot records, a health certificate, and a health guarantee. • Meet within 1 hour of 37128: FREE • Meet at Nashville Airport: FREE • Meet within 2 hours of 37128: $100 fee • Flight delivery (Thursdays or weekends only): $250 fee, plus buyer covers flights (both ways) and pet fee (one way) I will not ship — please don’t ask.
