This boy’s name is Flounder. He is charted presently at 3.5 pounds. He needs to go to someone who has experience with small dogs. I will be very, very careful who I placed him with. He went through a lot to make it to this planet. Unfortunately, during pregnancy, the heart rates were dropping, and we had to have an emergency C-section. He was the only one who made it and just barely. He had to have an epinephrine shot and that’s the only reason his little self is here today. After birth, his mama could not bond to him so he was taken on by another mama in the house. His feedings have been hands-on for the first four days of life. I had to make sure he ate and went to the bathroom every hour. This little boy is very very special and is looking for a very special forever home! Please note his price reflects his bloodline, worth, as well as the expense of bringing him to life. Hi everyone! My name is Sarah, and I breed smooth coat and long coat AKC Chihuahuas. My goal is for my puppies to become beloved companions in wonderful pet homes. On very rare occasions, I may consider placing a puppy with a small breeding program after extensive discussion and careful consideration. Before accepting a deposit, I require a phone call — preferably FaceTime — because I take the responsibility of bringing these little souls into the world very seriously. I want to make sure each puppy is matched with the best possible home. Chihuahuas are tiny, delicate dogs and are not ideal for homes with very small children or homes where they will be left alone all day. These are purse- and pocket-sized companions who thrive on love, attention, and closeness with their people. When you bring one home, you are becoming their entire world. My dogs have undergone DNA testing to ensure they are clear of common genetic issues found in the breed. They also come from lines that have passed both DNA and OFA testing. My current breeding dogs are still too young for OFA testing themselves, but they will be tested when age appropriate. My dogs are truly family to me. One thing that makes my program special is that I never rehome my breeding dogs once they retire — they stay with me for life. I am looking for homes that will view these puppies not just as pets, but as cherished family members and best friends. Chihuahuas are incredibly loyal little dogs. I have even trained one as a service animal. Temperament is shaped by both genetics and training, which is why I prioritize calm, stable temperaments in my breeding program. Continued training and socialization, however, are the responsibility of the owner. I require a non-refundable $700 deposit to reserve a puppy. Your puppy will come with: * Up-to-date vaccinations * A veterinary health check and clean bill of health * A 78-hour health guarantee — if your veterinarian finds a serious health issue within 78 hours of pickup, you will receive a full refund I am searching for gentle, loving homes that will spoil these puppies with kindness and patience. Dogs do not learn through fear, yelling, or physical punishment. Every puppy also comes with lifetime support from me. If you ever have questions, I will always be available to help. And if life circumstances ever make it impossible for you to keep your dog, they will always have a home with me. My dogs will never end up in a shelter. These dogs are a part of my heart, and sharing them with others is something I take very seriously.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Chihuahua Puppies

What makes Chihuahuas special?
These pint sized pooches aren’t short on smarts! While they make lovable and devoted lapdogs, Chihuahuas possess a ninja-like agility, graceful demeanor, and bravery that sometimes gets them into trouble. Full-grown, they typically weigh 2-6 pounds and stand 5-8 inches tall.
Can Chihuahuas live with cats and other dogs?
Chihuahuas are generally not the best fit for families with young kids. Chihuahuas can usually live with other dogs and cats without problem. Socializing the Chihuahua as a puppy is essential to prevent overt aggressiveness and avoiding World War III with other pets in your house. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
Are Chihuahuas high-energy dogs?
Chihuahuas can usually get all the exercise they need by running around indoors. If the dog becomes a little chubby, put on the Tai Bo DVD and get down! Actually, these dogs should be allowed to walk everywhere until the desired weight is reached. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
What should I expect with Chihuahua shedding?
Chihuahuas can have a long or short coat and come in a wide variety of colors, including sand, chocolate, silver, chestnut, and even blue. A plethora of patterns including sable and masks are also a possibility. It’s this very variety of possibilities makes classification so difficult. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Are Chihuahuas a good fit for apartment living?
Chihuahuas are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Socializing the Chihuahua as a puppy is essential to prevent overt aggressiveness and avoiding World War III with other pets in your house. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
