🐾 LOOKING FOR THEIR FUR-EVER HOMES🐾
Well… sometimes life doesn’t go exactly as planned! 😅 I unfortunately missed all the signs that my girl was in heat, before I knew it we had a surprise litter of the sweetest little puppies. I know that was irresponsible, and it’s something I take seriously. Once she has fully recovered from pregnancy, she’ll be getting spayed. ❤️
While this definitely wasn’t planned, these babies are here now and deserve the absolute best homes I can find for them. 🥹🐶
🐾 A LITTLE ABOUT THEIR PARENTS🐾
Dad is a long-haired Dachshund, 100% Doxie and an absolute sweetheart.
Mom is a Peekapoo — she is 72.6% Miniature Poodle and 27.4% Pekingese. She definitely inherited more of the Poodle side, which you can see in her appearance!
Both parents have been DNA tested through Embark, and I’m more than happy to share their results with anyone interested.
Since this is a Poodle × Dachshund mix, I’ve listed the puppies as Doxiepoos simply because it’s the closest commonly recognized name I could find for this unique mix. ❤️
Both mom and dad are incredibly friendly, love people, and are under 14 pounds. Based on their parents, I don’t expect these puppies to be large.
Both parents are also long hair. I expected the puppies to be long hair as well.
🏡 WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The puppies will be ready to leave for their new homes between 8–10 weeks old.
Each puppy will go home with:
🐾 A bag of the food they’re currently eating
🐾 Age-appropriate vaccinations and the shot records
🐾 Deworming
🐾 A 6-month health guarantee
🐾 Lots of love and socialization before heading home ❤️
If you would like your puppy to have a veterinary health certificate before going home, I’m happy to arrange that at the buyer’s expense.
📍 COME MEET THEM!
We’re located in Diana, Texas, about 20 minutes from Longview.
If you’re seriously considering adding one of these little ones to your family, you’re more than welcome to come meet the puppies and their mom and dad in person.
I completely understand how cautious people have to be when buying puppies nowadays because of all the scams. I’ve been scammed myself. If you’re unable to visit in person, I’m also happy to FaceTime with you with the puppies, send updated pictures/videos, and answer any questions you may have so you can feel comfortable knowing exactly who you’re talking to and dealing with.
These puppies may have been an unexpected surprise, but I want to make sure each one is an expected blessing to the family they go home with. ❤️
If you think one of these babies might be the perfect addition to your family, send me a message! I’d love to tell you more about them and know more about you as a potential puppy parent as well.
Serious inquiries only, please. 🐶🏡❤️

About
Peekapoo
Puppies
What should I know about Peekapoos before buying one?
With the loving nature of a Poodle and the pride of a Pekingese, the Peekapoo is a smart, affectionate dog that will stay glued to your side and bark the day away. These easygoing pups don’t need much activity, but they make up for it in high-maintenance grooming and attention needs. Photo credit: www.flickr.com/photos/islandgyrl/4820241164 Full-grown, they typically weigh 4-20 pounds and stand 9-11 inches tall.
Can Peekapoos live with cats and other dogs?
Peekapoos are generally good with kids, especially when raised together. Peekapoo are companion dogs that need to live inside with their families. These dogs may or may not be a good fit for families with kids, other dogs, or cats. They're fairly vocal dogs that bark regularly.
What activities do Peekapoos enjoy most?
The Peekapoo has low to average energy, so they don’t need much activity or exercise. These little pups will adapt to their owner’s lifestyle, so whether you like a short walk around the block each day or prefer to spend your time relaxing on the couch, they’ll be happy to join in. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
How often should I brush a Peekapoo?
Peekapoo can have different types of coats, depending on whether their Poodle or Pekingese side is stronger. They may have curls, waves, or even straight hair and come in a variety of colors. Plan on brushing these dogs every few days to keep their coats tangle-free. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance.
How much space does a Peekapoo need?
Peekapoos are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. Peekapoo are companion dogs that need to live inside with their families. They can live in a house or apartment as long as they’re around people. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.
Frequently Asked Questions
About
Miniature Dachshund
Puppies
Is a Miniature Dachshund the right dog for me?
The Dachshund (pronounced dak-sund; also known as a ‘Teckel’) originated in Germany in the sixteenth century. They were bred and trained to chase down prey, such as a badger (Dachshund means ‘Badger Dog’) or fox, enter its burrow, kill it, and retrieve it. Full-grown, they typically weigh 9-11 pounds and stand 5-6 inches tall.
How do Miniature Dachshunds behave around young children?
Miniature Dachshunds are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Miniature Dachshund is somewhat reserved around strangers and may bark at them, but forms a strong bond with family. It can be too courageous around larger dogs. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
What activities do Miniature Dachshunds enjoy most?
The Miniature Dachshund needs a small amount of exercise; medium length walks or a fair amount of play in the yard should be sufficient. Miniature Dachshunds may tire easily so exercise should be spaced out throughout the day. Miniature Dachshunds can live comfortably in an apartment, but it is best if they get an occasional view of the wild. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
What should I expect with Miniature Dachshund shedding?
The smooth- and long-haired Miniature Dachshund should be brushed occasionally to remove dead hairs. Long-haired Miniature Dachshunds are prone to tangles, so they should be groomed more often. The coat of the wire-haired Miniature Dachshund should be plucked twice a year. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
Can a Miniature Dachshund live in an apartment?
Miniature Dachshunds are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They are fairly easy to train.
