Purpose bred for hunting, sport or service, Suede is a BIG girl..over 13lbs when weighed on her 8 wk birthday! She has very strong Uodibar and Clown bloodlines. She is a real thinker!! Most GSP's are instant decision makers, but this girl figures things out before making the jump. She is liver in color with a white shield on her chest, that will likely roan out. Please see my profile page to see what her foundation en"tails". (ENS, ESI, testing) She will come with her AKC registration papers (limited registration), dew claws and tail docked (by vet) her first 2 rounds of vaccinations (by vet), 4 rounds of dewormer, health papers, microchipped and all of the documentation I have kept on her since her first breath including frequent weigh in's, weekly nail trimmings etc. She will also go to her new forever home with a gallon of her current food (purina pro-health chicken n rice puppy), all of her paperwork, one of the litter's toys and blanket to comfort her in the transition. Each pup has been litter trained (bedding pellets) starting at 3 1/2 weeks, and started kennel training at 5 weeks. They all go to the outside big kennel to potty every morning, eat and exercise, then back out in the evening for another couple of hours to do the same. Each of them get individual sessions every day, and time away from littermates to increase their confidence. Currently working on recall, scent detection and retrieval lessons and doing a GREAT JOB, and she really enjoys kicking back on the couch snuggling too. Please reach out to me if you are interested..I know I can't list everything we have experienced here!! Lots to tell! Looking for the perfect match for this special girl! She has so much good to do, and love to give! OH! She also has quite the fetching zipper on the back of her neck too! She's quite flashy and VERY velvet soft! She will be ready for her new home 8/14/26 at 10 weeks old. I prefer not to ship. It is of the most importance to me to KNOW she is going to a perfect home for her. ❤️

German Shorthaired Pointer

Frequently Asked Questions
About German Shorthaired Pointer Puppies

What kind of dog is a German Shorthaired Pointer?
German Short-haired Pointers are medium-large sized hunting dogs who also make excellent companions. They are loyal, loving, and protective. As long as they get plenty of exercise German Shorthaired Pointers are happy, family friendly dogs that fit right in with families who fill their calendar with lots of doggie-friendly outdoor activities. Full-grown, they typically weigh 45-70 pounds and stand 21-25 inches tall.
Will a German Shorthaired Pointer get along with my other pets?
German Shorthaired Pointers are generally excellent with children of all ages. Families with other pets, especially small furry kittens, should know that German Short-haired Pointers don’t always distinguish between your pets and animals they want to hunt. They can learn to play nice with your other pets if they are raised around them, but you’ll always want to keep an eye out for aggressive play. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
Are German Shorthaired Pointers couch potatoes or do they need a lot of exercise?
You know that friend of yours who does triathlons? That’s the German Shorthaired Pointer. They need at least an hour of daily exercise to stay happy. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
Is a German Shorthaired Pointer a good choice for someone with allergies?
The German Short-haired Pointer never needs a raincoat because their hair repels water and keeps them warm in harsh conditions, but their coat does shed quite a bit. The shedding happens seasonally as they prepare their bodies for what nature will be throwing at them next. It’s best to brush them every week or so to keep their coat and skin healthy and to cut down on shedding. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
What should first-time owners know about German Shorthaired Pointers?
German Shorthaired Pointers are best suited for a house with a good-sized yard. German Short-haired Pointers need room to roam. They do not do well in apartments and prefer homes with big backyards where they can safely play. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

See Full Guide Here

Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
