Meet Trouble! This beautiful almost 2 year old purebred Tibetan Mastiff is looking for a new home, at no fault of her own! She is absolutely stunning, and such a good dog, but we just have our hands full right now and are looking for someone who has the time and experience for this incredible breed. We will be picky about where she goes so please only contact if you are ready for a dog of this caliber. She may look like a big fluffy golden retriever but this breed is a far more rare and unique to work with. We got Trouble to raise her as a guard dog and she is AMAZING at her job. No one steps foot on our property without Trouble knowing and alerting us. She has a powerful bark and WILL use it to make sure you know someone is near. She will protect your home with everything she has, but she is a big sweetheart to people we welcome into our home, and loves to be pet and groomed. She is on the smaller side for a Tibetan Mastiff (Currently 70lbs). Trouble is indoor and outdoor crate/kennel trained, house broken, knows her basic tricks (sit, stay, lay down, etc). She comes from AKC bloodlines but will not come with papers (listed as unpapered price). She will come with her kennel if you want it. Fully up to date on shots (just had all of her shots completed as of 12/25/2025. She just had her 1 year rabies shot 11/30/2025, won't be due for another year, and is vaccinated with for distemper, adenovirus type 2, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus Type 2b, and 4 strains of Lepto (L. canicola, L. grippotyphosa, L. icterohaemorrhagiae, and L. pomona). Trouble just had her second heat. Trouble is great with other dogs and cats, though I don't recommend her as a livestock dog. She is good with chickens/turkeys when you are outside with her and won't even look at them if you tell her not to, but she has fun chasing them when left alone. Please text (916)382-0069 if you would like to learn more about Trouble or would like to meet this beautiful girl!

Frequently Asked Questions
About Tibetan Mastiff Puppies
What should I know about Tibetan Mastiffs before buying one?
The Tibetan Mastiff will be your best friend, protector, and the kids’ favorite playmate. These dogs are creatures of habit who thrive in environments with simplicity and routine. Their ideal days involves a nice, long walk, followed by a quiet rest on the couch. Full-grown, they typically weigh 70-150 pounds and stand 24-26 inches tall.
Are Tibetan Mastiffs a good choice for families with kids?
Tibetan Mastiffs are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. Tibetan Mastiffs are wonderful with children that they know, and with socialization, they can get along nicely with other dogs and pets too. Mastiffs don’t respond well to being ignored, so they need an attentive family that makes them feel like part of the inner circle. They're moderate barkers — they'll alert you when something's up but aren't excessive.
How active are Tibetan Mastiffs on a daily basis?
Tibetan Mastiffs enjoy exercise but don’t require a ton of it. Playing in a fenced-in yard or taking a few walks a day will keep them comfortable and in shape. As they age, one walk a day will do the trick. Overall, their exercise needs are moderate.
How much brushing and bathing does a Tibetan Mastiff need?
Tibetan Mastiffs are a long-haired breed with dual-layer coats of black, golden brown, or grey fur. Some dogs also have tan and/or white markings on their chest or feet, along with a longer “mane” on their head and neck. Frequent shedding is uncommon for Tibetan Mastiffs. Grooming-wise, this breed is moderate.
Do Tibetan Mastiffs need a house with a yard?
Tibetan Mastiffs are best suited for a rural property or home with a large yard. Their large size and loud bark make them a better match for homes with spacious yards in cooler climates. They are moderately trainable with consistent effort.
Puppy Buyer's FAQ
See Full Guide Here
Visit or Video Call the Breeder
Visit in person if possible, or request a live video call to meet the puppy, see its living conditions, and meet the mom. Ask to see where the dogs eat, sleep, and play.
Get a Vet Exam Immediately
Have a vet examine the puppy within two days of bringing it home, even if it seems healthy.
Request Complete Health Records
Ask for vaccination records, deworming history, and vet exam results. For purebreds, ask for parent health clearances.
Get Everything in Writing
Written contract with health guarantees, return/refund policy, and spay/neuter terms. Verbal promises are unenforceable.
Use Secure Payment Methods
Pay with a credit card or another traceable method that offers buyer protection. Avoid wire transfers, crypto, or gift cards, which are difficult to recover.
Verify Breeder Credentials
Check USDA license, state breeder license, breed club memberships, and reviews. Ask for buyer references.
Know What to Look For
A trustworthy breeder welcomes visits, specializes in one or two breeds, prices fairly, and gives you time to decide without pressure.
Know Your State's Laws
Some states have lemon laws; others rely on contract law. Know your rights before you buy.
