Vesper is a beautiful black AKC Giant Schnauzer girl from a pairing we were especially excited to produce at Happy Beards.
Born July 6, 2026, Vesper brings together two established Giant Schnauzer lines that are important to our breeding program: imported Russian Gently Born champion lineage through her sire and established Skansen champion lines through her dam.
Her sire, Happy Beards Sheik Shadow, is the son of Gently Born Shake It Up, who was imported to the United States from Gently Born Kennels in Russia. Gently Born has an extensive champion history, and Shake It Up became an important foundation behind our Giant Schnauzer program. Shadow has had OFA health testing.
Her dam, Cleo, comes from established Skansen champion lines and has also had OFA health testing. Cleo has been an important part of our Giant Schnauzer program, and this is her final litter before retirement.
We intentionally brought these pedigrees together while continuing to focus on what matters most to us in a Giant Schnauzer: health, sound temperament, intelligence, trainability, structure, and a strong connection with their family.
Vesper has natural ears, a docked tail, and dewclaws removed.
Raised the Happy Beards Way
Our Giant Schnauzer puppies are raised in our home with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), daily handling, structured socialization, exposure to normal household life, and age-appropriate confidence building.
We also begin litter-box training before our puppies leave us to help make the transition into their new homes easier.

Nationwide Families Welcome
Happy Beards Schnauzers is located in Utah, but our Giant Schnauzer puppies join families throughout the United States.
For families outside Utah, our preferred transportation option is our personal in-cabin flight nanny service. A Happy Beards representative personally accompanies your puppy throughout the trip.
Your puppy stays with us in the airplane cabin and is never shipped in cargo or handed over to a third-party transport company.
Because we travel frequently, personal flight-nanny delivery can often be more affordable than families expect. Ask us for a quote to your nearest major airport.
Pickup in Utah is always welcome, and other meeting arrangements may be possible when practical.

Invite them into your family for a friendly companion that will get along with the kids and keep an eye on everyone. Full-grown, they typically weigh 55-85 pounds and stand 23-28 inches tall.
Do Giant Schnauzers get along with kids?
Giant Schnauzers are generally okay with older children who know how to handle dogs. The Giant Schnauzer gets along great with familiar children, dogs, and other pets, but they're wary and cautious of people and animals that they don't know. Giant Schnauzers have a soft, thick undercoat and a rugged, wiry outer coat that is solid black or salt-and-pepper colored. The dog’s chin and face have longer hair, forming eyebrows and a beard that lend well to their facial expressions. Giant Schnauzers don’t shed much, but their long hair requires grooming. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance. Giant Schnauzers are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
