About Zemora

Zemora is a sweet, beautiful, petite, calm puppy. At five weeks I was able to trim her nails with no fight. For a Chihuahua that’s saying something! Her hair is very soft which makes me think it will probably be more Chihuahua like. Her brother‘s hair is more course leaning towards the wirey Schnauzer hair. If so, he will be hypoallergenic. The mother, Surfer Girl, is a salt and pepper Schinauhua (Schnuazer/Chi) and gave birth to three girls and two boys, all within an hour. Surfer is my only dog who will carry a stuffed animal around in her mouth! In fact, she runs around and steals all the stuffed animals and hides them in her crate. I figured she’d make a good mama, and I was right!
The father, Chase, 4.5 lbs, is a 5 champion/1 grand champion bloodline Chi with long beautiful gold fur and a white chest. Chase is also very sweet, obedient, intelligent, and mild mannered. This make's the puppies 3/4 Chihuahua and 1/4 Schnauzer.
Surfer Girl looks more Schnauzer, and has those traits. She’s energetic, empathetic, sweet and gentle. Chase is an extremely great dog, also, and father’s gorgeous, sweet, well behaved puppies. Pictures are included of both.

About Miniature Schnauzer Puppies
About Miniature Schnauzer Puppies
What's it like owning a Miniature Schnauzer?
Miniature Schnauzers may look like lap dogs, but they’re more likely to chase animals around the yard or stand guard at the door than be lazy couch potatoes. These loyal dogs are bundles of energy that enjoy spending time with their owners, protecting the home, and being your #1 companion. Full-grown, they typically weigh 11-20 pounds and stand 12-14 inches tall.
Do Miniature Schnauzers do well in a busy household?
Miniature Schnauzers are generally excellent with children of all ages. Miniature Schnauzers are not the warmest dogs upon initial introduction, but once they get acquainted with you, they’re sweet and loving. Their wariness around strangers usually leads to lots of barking, especially when they’re around other dogs. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
What activities do Miniature Schnauzers enjoy most?
Miniature Schnauzers are athletic pups that can barely contain their energy. They need to be exercised multiple times a day to stay healthy and avoid getting into trouble. These dogs love to run, play in the yard, practice earth dog or tracking activities, and do anything that gets their heart pumping. Overall, their exercise needs are very high.
How much grooming does a Miniature Schnauzer need?
Miniature Schnauzers have typical terrier-style coats. A soft, thick undercoat keeps them warm and is topped by a wiry outer coat. Their notable features include long hair on their chin and face, which gives them expressive eyebrows and a beard. Grooming-wise, this breed is fairly high-maintenance. Miniature Schnauzers are considered hypoallergenic, which can be a plus for allergy sufferers.
Are Miniature Schnauzers a good fit for apartment living?
Miniature Schnauzers are best suited for apartments and smaller homes. They can live outdoors in moderate or warm areas but prefer to spend most of their time indoors with family. They are highly trainable and eager to learn.

What makes Chihuahuas special?
These pint sized pooches aren’t short on smarts! While they make lovable and devoted lapdogs, Chihuahuas possess a ninja-like agility, graceful demeanor, and bravery that sometimes gets them into trouble. Full-grown, they typically weigh 2-6 pounds and stand 5-8 inches tall.
Can Chihuahuas live with cats and other dogs?
Chihuahuas are generally not the best fit for families with young kids. Chihuahuas can usually live with other dogs and cats without problem. Socializing the Chihuahua as a puppy is essential to prevent overt aggressiveness and avoiding World War III with other pets in your house. They're very vocal and bark quite a lot.
Are Chihuahuas high-energy dogs?
Chihuahuas can usually get all the exercise they need by running around indoors. If the dog becomes a little chubby, put on the Tai Bo DVD and get down! Actually, these dogs should be allowed to walk everywhere until the desired weight is reached. Overall, their exercise needs are low.
What should I expect with Chihuahua shedding?
Chihuahuas can have a long or short coat and come in a wide variety of colors, including sand, chocolate, silver, chestnut, and even blue. A plethora of patterns including sable and masks are also a possibility. It’s this very variety of possibilities makes classification so difficult. Grooming-wise, this breed is low-maintenance.
