How do I switch memberships?

You can change your billing schedule at any time based on your needs. Please review the specific instructions for your current membership tier below.

If you are currently on a monthly subscription, you can seamlessly schedule a switch to an annual plan directly from your dashboard to save 25% overall.

Switching from Monthly to Annual (Upgrading)

  • Navigate to the Membership & Billing page.

  • Inside your active membership card, click the blue link that reads Switch to yearly and save 25%.

  • A confirmation window will appear, letting you know that your annual term will automatically begin when your current monthly period ends. Click Confirm.

  • Once confirmed, a blue banner will appear stating "Membership being processed." 

  • Your Payment History will show a status of Pending for the Seller Yearly Membership amount. Your credit card will not be charged until your current monthly cycle concludes. Once it does, your dashboard will automatically update to reflect your new yearly renewal date.

Since annual memberships are pre-paid for the full term, there is no direct "Switch to monthly" link available on the dashboard once you are locked into a yearly plan.

Switching from Annual to Monthly (Downgrading)

To transition back to a monthly billing cycle at the end of your annual term:

  • Navigate to your Membership & Billing page.

  • Click the red Cancel link on the right side of your active membership card to stop future automatic yearly renewals.

  • Click Confirm
  • Your membership benefits will remain fully active for the remainder of your paid annual year.

  • Once your annual expiration date passes, your account will drop back to the free tier. At that point, you can simply click Upgrade and choose the Monthly Membership option to resume listing.

Important Things to Remember

  • No Double-Billing: Upgrading to an annual plan safely places the new term in a queue. You are never billed twice for overlapping days.

  • Prorated Refunds: Puppies.com does not offer prorated refunds for turning off an annual plan early. Canceling simply stops the next automatic payment.
