Buyers on Puppies.com can complete a Buyer Profile to introduce themselves to sellers. These profiles provide breeders with valuable insight to help make strong choices before finalizing a deposit or a sale.
Please Note: Buyer profiles are not publicly searchable across the platform. They are visible exclusively to sellers who are actively communicating with that buyer inside the Message Center.
How to Access a Buyer’s Profile:

Open your Message Center and select your conversation thread with the buyer.

Click or tap the Buyer's Name located at the top of the conversation thread.
Buyer Profiles Contain:

Verification Badges: Quickly check if the buyer has completed Email, Phone Number, or iDenfy ID Verification. If their identity is unverified, sellers can click Request Verification directly from the profile card.

Looking For: View the specific breeds the buyer is actively searching to adopt (up to 5 breeds).

Home & Household Tags: Get a quick overview of the buyer's living environment, including their home/yard setup, number of existing dogs or cats, and whether children reside in the home.

About Me Bio: Read a personal introduction written by the buyer detailing their experience with pets and household background.

Location & Member Details: Confirm the buyer's city, state, and account creation date.

Safety Controls: Directly access the Report or Block options if you receive an inappropriate or suspicious inquiry.
Using Buyer Profiles Effectively:
Sellers can use profile details as an efficient screening tool prior to making a sale:

Screen for Compatibility: Check their yard and household setup to ensure the environment is a great fit for your specific breed's energy level and care requirements.
- Screen for Fraud: Watch for common red flags, such as a brand-new profile with zero completed details insisting on moving off-platform immediately, or an unverified account making unusual payment requests. If an inquiry feels suspicious, hit Request Verification or use the Report button directly on their profile card before proceeding.

Verify Identity Before Sale: Look for verified email, phone, and ID badges. If you require ID verification before holding a puppy or accepting a payment, use the Request Verification button directly on their profile.

Tailor Your Conversations: Use their "About Me" story and pet history to ask relevant follow-up questions, discuss past breed experience, and help match them with the right puppy's personality.
