Managing your listing statuses accurately keeps your My Listings page organized and ensures active puppies remain visible to prospective buyers. Depending on whether your puppy was marked as On Hold or Sold, you can either move the listing back to For Sale yourself or reach out to our team for assistance.
Understanding the Three Listing Statuses
-
For Sale: The default status. Your listing is active, published, and visible to all buyers in search results.
-
On Hold: Used when you have a pending sale or have received a deposit. On Hold listings can be switched back to For Sale at any time.
-
Sold: Used only when a puppy is in the buyer's possession and the transaction is finalized.
How to Undo an "On Hold" Status:
If a pending sale falls through, you can easily relist an On Hold puppy back to For Sale on your own:
From Desktop / Mobile Browsers and the iOS app:
- Navigate to your My Listings page.
- Click the On Hold tab in the My Listings section.
- Click the Listing Status Dropdown next to the puppy's listing.
- Change the status from On Hold back to For Sale.
From the iOS App:
- Open your My Listings page and select the On Hold tab.
- Tap and hold the listing, then drag it to the left to reveal options.
- Tap For Sale to restore the listing's visibility in search results.
From the Message Center:
-
While chatting with a buyer in the Message Center, you can also update a puppy's status using the dropdown menu at the top of the conversation thread (available through mobile/desktop browsers only).
Marking a listing as Sold is intended to be a final action, so the option to undo it is disabled on the user's side. However, if a listing was accidentally marked as Sold, you do have a few options.
How to Undo a "Sold" Listing Status:
-
If you selected Sold by mistake, or if a finalized sale fell through after the puppy was marked sold, our team can help!
-
Reach out to Puppies.com Support at
[email protected]with the puppy's name or listing details. Our support staff can undo the Sold status on our end as a courtesy and restore your listing.
-
- Additionally, if a dog was marked as Sold by mistake, you can also create a new listing from scratch to re-post the dog if you prefer. This can be a better option if you need to make substantial changes.
