How do I create/edit my Seller Profile?

Selling a Puppy ·

Your Seller profile is the foundation of your Puppies.com presence. It contains essential information about your location, breeding program, and experience, helping buyers feel confident in reaching out.

While your basic Personal Profile handles your internal account details, your Seller Profile is your public-facing professional storefront. It is designed to build immediate trust by showcasing your kennels, credentials, and available puppies.

Creating Your Basic Profile

If you are new to Puppies.com, you will automatically be prompted to create your Personal Profile the very first time you attempt to create a listing.

  • On a Desktop Browser: Click List a Puppy in the top navigation bar.

  • On a Mobile Browser: Tap the Menu icon in the upper-right corner and select List a Puppy.

  • In the iOS or Android Apps: Tap My Listings in the bottom navigation menu.

Click Get Started to begin! You will be asked to fill in your basic contact details, select your city and state from the drop-down menu, and upload a friendly profile picture. You can also introduce your experience in the "About You" section and add any applicable Federal or State licenses. Once finished, click Save Profile.

Once you have an active monthly or annual membership, you gain access to the full Seller Profile / Kennel Information suite, which allows you to fully customize your public business presence.

Unlocking and Editing Your Seller Profile

To access and edit these advanced fields at any time:

  • On a Desktop Browser: Click the Menu icon in the upper-right corner and select Edit Profile.

  • On a Mobile Browser: Tap the Menu icon, select Profile & Settings, and tap Edit Profile.

  • In the iOS or Android Apps: Tap the More icon in the bottom right, and tap Edit My Profile or Edit Profile.

Once on the editing page, scroll down past your basic Personal Profile Info to the Seller Profile / Kennel Information section to customize the following fields:

  • Kennel/Breeder Name: Enter your formal business name (if you don't have one, you can simply use your first and last name).

  • Website: If you have an external website for your breeding program, link it here to give buyers another way to research your business.

  • Phone Number: Add a public contact number, or check the Hide phone number from profile box if you prefer to communicate exclusively through the secure Puppies.com Message Center.

  • Custom Homepage Name: Create a personalized, easy-to-remember link (e.g., [puppies.com/breeders/YourName](https://puppies.com/breeders/YourName)) that you can easily share on social media or print on business cards.

  • Available Breeds: Specify the breeds you produce so they appear as searchable tags on your profile.

  • About Your Place: Detail your breeding philosophy, daily exercise routines, and history with your chosen breeds. Specific details about how your puppies are raised build much more trust than generalities!

  • Licenses (USDA/State): If you are a licensed breeder, select the appropriate options. Highlighting these credentials is a major trust signal for prospective buyers.

  • Media of Your Place (Photos & Video): You can upload up to 10 photos or videos of your facility (with a maximum of 4 videos). High-quality images of your dogs' living spaces, play areas, and whelping setups are the best way to prove you are a responsible breeder. (Supported file formats: PNG, JPG, MP4, MOV, and WEBM up to 100MB).

Saving and Viewing Your Profile

⚠️ Important: Whenever you make changes to your information or upload new media, you must scroll to the very bottom of the page and click the orange Save Profile button before exiting to ensure your updates go live!

Once your setup is complete and saved, you can view your public page at any time to see exactly how your storefront appears to potential buyers. Simply click View Breeder Profile at the top of the menu (this preview feature is currently available on the desktop/laptop site).
