Puppies.com requires email verification to help ensure a secure community and make sure you receive important messages from other users. Depending on how you verify, you will either use a confirmation link or a 6-digit code.
Method 1: The "Welcome" Email (Link)
When you first create an account or update your email address, we send an automated "Welcome" email.
- Check your inbox for an email with the subject "Welcome to Puppies.com!" or "Verify your email address."
- Click the Confirm link inside the email.
- You will be redirected to a Puppies.com page; click the Confirm My Account button to finalize.
Method 2: While Messaging or in Account Settings (6-Digit Code)
If you are currently on the site and trying to contact a seller, or if you are verifying from your Verifications page, you will use a one-time code.
- Click Send Code in the verification popup or on the Verifications page.
- Check your email for a message containing a 6-digit verification code.
- Enter those 6 digits into the box on Puppies.com and click Verify Code.
Troubleshooting Tips
If you aren't seeing our emails in your main inbox, please try the following:
- Check Other Folders: Look in your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folders.
- Search: Use your email's search bar to look for "Puppies.com."
- Whitelist Us: Add [email protected] and [email protected] to your email contact list. This tells your provider that we are a safe sender. After doing so, you can request a new verification email through the Verifications page in your account.
Note: If you contact our Support Team for help with verification, they may send you a manual email that uses the Link method rather than a code.
