Completing this foundational step adds a verification badge to your profile, helps you receive critical notification alerts, and protects your account behind the scenes using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
🔒 Privacy Note: Completing phone verification does not display your personal phone number on your public profile or listings. It is used strictly for internal security and system alerts.
How to Access Phone Verification:
If you are not automatically prompted to verify your number upon logging in, you can manually access the verification screen at any time:

On a Desktop / Laptop Browser, click the Menu icon in the upper-right corner and select Verifications.

On a Mobile Web Browser, open the Menu, tap Profile & Settings, then select Verifications.

On the iOS or Android Apps, tap More in the lower-right corner of the navigation bar, then tap Verifications.
If you're new to the site and haven't verified your phone number yet, you should be automatically prompted to do so.
Step-by-Step Phone Verification Process:
- Locate the phone verification prompt in your account. Enter your standard mobile phone number (including your area code) in the text field.
- Select your preferred confirmation method by clicking or tapping Text me a code or Receive a call.
- Wait for your code. You should receive a text message or automated call with your security code within 5 minutes.
- Note: Once issued, each verification code is valid for 10 minutes.
- Enter the 6-digit code into the text field on the verification screen and click or tap Submit Code (or Verify Code).
- Once completed, your screen will update to confirm your successful verification.
Once both your email and phone verifications are complete, your account will be fully unlocked and ready to use!
