If your listing isn't appearing in search results on Puppies.com, it is usually due to account approval status, membership standing, or a policy violation.
(Note: You do not need to log out of your account to see your own active listings in search. As long as your listing is active, it will show up whether you are logged in or not.)
Here are the most common reasons your listing may be missing from search and how to fix it:
1. Your Account Is Pending Approval
When you create your account and submit a new listing, it enters a quick review queue with our team.
-
What happens: Your listing will not appear in public search results while it is awaiting review.
-
Next steps: Reviews are typically completed within 1 to 2 business days (and often much faster). Once approved, your 3-day free trial (or active membership) goes live, and your listing automatically becomes visible to buyers.
2. Your 3-Day Trial or Paid Membership Has Expired
Active listings require an active seller membership or an ongoing 3-day trial to be visible in search results.
-
What happens: Once your 3-day trial or paid membership expires, your listings are automatically hidden from search, and you will no longer receive new buyer inquiries.
-
Next steps: Visit your Membership and Billing page to check your membership status. If your last membership has expired, choose a monthly or annual membership to reupgrade. Once activated, your listing will immediately reappear in search results.
3. Your Listing Was Hidden by Support
If a listing violates our Listing Guidelines, our Support Team may temporarily hide it until the issue has been resolved.
-
How to check: Go to your My Listings page in your account dashboard. If a listing has been hidden by our team, you will see a "Hidden by admin" status badge next to it.
-
Check your Inbox: Whenever an admin hides a listing, an explanation is sent directly to your personal email address. Please review this message for details on what needs to be updated.
Still Can't Find Your Listing(s)?
If you've confirmed that your account is upgraded with a Paid/Trial membership, your listings haven't been hidden by Puppies Support, and your account has been approved but your listings still aren't showing in a search, we recommend these final tips:
- Check your “Purebred & Designer” search selection.
- Our search identifies a listing as Designer only if two distinct breeds are included in the listing (e.g., "Goldendoodle" + "German Shephard"). If you have listed only one breed (e.g., "Goldendoodle" only), your listing will appear under the Purebred or Purebred & Designer filters instead.
- Double-Check your location.
- An outdated city/state location may impact your ability to locate your listing(s). We recommend editing your profile to remove/re-save your location. Click the X in the green location selection to remove it, enter your location in the text field, click to select the appropriate result below, and click Save Changes at the bottom.
- Test in an Incognito Window.
- Your browser may be displaying a "cached" or saved version of an old search result, so try viewing the site in an Incognito or Private window (or perform a "hard refresh" by pressing Ctrl + F5 on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac) to see the most current version of search results.
